Vernal Pool

20” x 22”, acrylic on maple panel, 2017

Vernal Pool

Originally exhibited at Joshua Liner Gallery as part of the Synchronicity series, this painting reflects the fleeting richness of vernal ponds—ephemeral wetlands that emerge with spring rains. These seasonal ecosystems sustain a delicate web of life, offering a quiet meditation on renewal, adaptation, and the significance of even the most transient habitats. The composition follows the natural grain of the maple wood, echoing the movement of water and the rhythms of impermanence.

A portion of proceeds supports large-scale land conservation through Art to Acres.
