TREES - Published by Simon and Schuster 2021

Explore a fantastical forest in this exquisite and lyrical picture book that celebrates all trees, from maple to elm to ginkgo to magnolia to redwood—written by award-winning author Tony Johnston.

Part poetry, part celebration of nature, each page of this stunning book brings readers deeper into the majestic world of trees. Old trees. Trees with shiny leaves shimmering after rain. And at night, trees holding out their limbs for the stars. Debut illustrator Tiffany Bozic created her striking artwork by painting directly on tree bark and the authenticity shines through in this meditative work.

Unnatural Selections

Unnatural Selections
Published by Gingko Press 2019

Tiffany Bozic combines a deep love of nature and the diversity of life with a self-taught technical prowess that is unmatched.

While she paints almost exclusively on wood, building up thin washes of paint layer by layer, her work almost appears subtractive as if she is removing the veils that conceal the inner workings, exposing the raw and the intimate. Her long anticipated follow up to Drawn by Instinct, Unnatural Selections chronicles the period from the birth of her daughter in 2012 to the present, exploring new themes such as reproduction, growth and parenthood alongside her ongoing search for universal commonalities between human beings and other living organisms.

Along the way, entirely new species emerge from the tip of her brush to inhabit a world with others no less strange for their evolutionary path to existence. Prepare to be amazed anew at the work of this extremely gifted artist as she explores the animals inside all of us. Unnatural Selections also comes with a print to be framed.

Coming off her highly anticipated show at the Joshua Liner Gallery in New York City, we are proud to announce a long overdue monograph on this highly gifted artist. As a result of her rural upbringing in Arkansas, she inherited a closeness to the natural world, a lifelong imprint that informs her work. Her patron saints, John James Audubon and Ernst Haeckel, provide the artistic inspiration and painstaking attention to details of morphology whether real, or imagined. There are fascinating discoveries to be made in her work, from new species of nudibranchs to unexpected life forms that blur the lines of flora and fauna. We also discern flashpoints through unlikely pairings, perceptions of danger in tranquil settings a commentary on the fragility of life? Whatever the intent, there is a mesmerizing dialogue at work, encompassing both inner and outer worlds. Questions are posed and meticulously explored, and perhaps in the process, we get a little closer to the answers. Take a glimpse into hidden worlds where the mysteries of life still abound!
