This painting titled 'Parthenogenosis' features a scarlet female Praying Mantis engaged in a natural form of asexual reproduction in which growth and development of embryos occur without fertilization. Eight diminutive offspring dance amongst the foliage as the natural grain of maple wood flows across the horizon.

This painting has a small hole in the back so it can hang directly flush on the wall. Every original painting is spray varnished with a protective coating to help insure it's original condition. Please be advised though that since wood is an organic material that it should be stored away from direct light, moisture and extreme temperature fluctuations.
